Description

The Bomba Toerle quarry enjoys a central position among to the Plateau: it is in fact located on the western slopes of the mountain of the same name, immersed in the woods that surround the town of Asiago. Theater of one of the bloodiest battles of the First World War, from this quarry we extract mainly the Rosso Asiago marble in considerable quantities and the Bianco Perlino. It is not uncommon to find some beautiful fossils among the marble grit, evidence of the sedimentary origin of the rock and the presence of the sea more than 35 million years ago.
